Seneca Healthcare District has recently announced changes to its board of directors. Shelley Stelzner has been appointed as vice president, succeeding Sherrie Thrall, who has taken over Stelzner’s previous role as assistant treasurer/secretary. These changes are intended to reinforce the board’s leadership and governance as it continues its mission to deliver high-quality health care services.
The current board of directors includes:
- Jerri Nielsen, President: Nielsen brings a wealth of leadership experience and dedication to community health, guiding strategic decision-making and governance. She also volunteers on the new hospital build team.
- Shelley Stelzner, Vice President: With her background in health care administration, Stelzner supports strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing patient care and operational efficiency.
- Rich Rydell, Treasurer: Rydell applies his expertise in finance, technology, and health care to oversee the district’s financial health and ensure sound fiscal management. He is also involved with the new build team.
- Sherrie Thrall, Assistant Treasurer/Secretary: Thrall contributes her governmental experience and organizational skills to financial oversight and administrative tasks.
- Ken Crandall, Secretary: Crandall is responsible for the board’s documentation and communications, maintaining transparency and effective information flow.
The board has played a crucial role in advancing the district’s efforts to construct a new hospital, recently approving the name Lake Almanor Community Hospital, which aligns with strategic goals and fosters community connection in the Lake Almanor Basin.
Seneca Healthcare District remains steadfast in its commitment to improving community health and well-being. The board looks forward to continued collaboration in achieving these objectives.
Board meetings are scheduled for 3 p.m. on the last Thursday of each month at the Lake Almanor Clinic in Chester, with virtual attendance options available. The public is encouraged to participate either in person or online. More details can be found on the SHD website.
